I installed the rpm for synaptic and the dependencies. When I try to run synaptic from a command prompt I get this message:
(synaptic:2510): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
I installed it as the root user and am currently allowing log in by root. I am just setting up the server...
I am not getting any error messages. First I stop apache then when I start it just simply says failed.
I have tried apachectl start
and apachectl startssl.
From the command line I get nothing. From within webmin I get failed.
Either way apache is not running.

I am having a problem with ssl on rh 9 system running apache 2.X.
The problem is when I enter the SSLEngine on in a virtual host directive apache will fail to start.
I have read that RH9 has some problems with ssl but can't find a fix or a thread that talks about this issue.

I was wondering if I had a database created in Access made forms if I could upload the db to a server and have the form access the db on my server?
I don't want the db on the computer at a store due to employee or theft problems. I really need to access it remotely.

I just got a new pc and want to transfer all of my calendar and email accounts to the new pc.
Outlook .pst files did not seem to do it or I pasted them into the wrong place.
Any help would be great as I have over 40 email accounts.

Well the lateral thinking did work.
I had to use the formula in another cell in a different column. But then I just dragged the formula down and there they all were. So then I just pasted special - values into the right column and I am done.

Okay I have done some more investigating on this and the problem is with CGI::Carp. When I try to install this I get 3 error messages. the script fails with these

How can I install them?

I have a server that perl got screwed up on. So I reinstalled the rpm and most of my scripts started to work again. Some however did not.
It seems that perl is not allowing users to use certain function of the perl install. As an example a script that uses cgi:carp does not work...

I reinstalled the perl rpm and all but one of my sites is back up and running. The open webmail package did screw up perl.
As far as the last site goes it is a shopping cart program from 2checkout. I was just waiting for the new year to replace that...

Well unfortunately my error logs are not any help they say the same thing as the browser does.
I checked all of the httpd.conf file and everything there is good to.
I can still send and recieve email through outlook.
Still puzzled
