ADB100...you mentioned you installed CM6 on a DL320 G2. What size hard drives did you install in the server? The default 32G drives aren't large enough.
Also, were you able to install it putting the two drives in Raid 1?
Hey lerdalt,
I took the ONT over the weekend and passed with around a 915...i dont remember the exact score. Finally done with the CCNP! The test really wasnt that bad, its a little VoIP, alot of QoS, and a bit of wireless.
I used the cisco student guide and studied it for about 2 weeks...
This thread is pretty old now...im surprised it was brought back to life. But to answer my own question....i brought the issue up to nortel a long time ago, and they have since fixed the bug in one of the software releases. It now works from the CLI.
Sorry...this is a little off topic.
Jynx, I have a question about the link drop problem you described. I have seen instances with users plugged into a baystack 470 where this has happend also. You don't see the link drop, but we have link trapping enabled, and there are tons of trap...
There shouldnt be that much research needed really....i've made a bunch of 470(24T)hybrid stacks.
Here is the stack im working on now:
1 - 470 24T FW3.0.0.5 SW3.1.0 (BASE)
4 - 450 24T FW1.48 SW4.5.0.6
Stack them with the 470 as the base. The only setting you need to change for them to...
From the main menu to go the Telnet Configuration screen. Make sure the IP address of the machine your trying to connect with is Allowed. You can allow a specific subnet or specific IP based on the IP addess and Mask. If you want a specific subnet allowed you can put in:
192.168.1.0...
Make sure the 470 stack operation mode is set to hybrid. Its under Main Menu->Switch Configuration->Stack Operation Mode. After you change it to hybrid you will have to restart the whole stack. This should fix the problem.
Ok...so after a little more playing around, ive discovered something.
The items you have to select arent actually the cascade ports...they are the entire 450 switch. On the webpage it is listed as U2, U3 etc..
I was testing this script with only one 450, so i was assumming it was just the...
Actually 450s do stack with 470s under the following conditions:
1. The 450s must be running software v4.2.0.22 or later
2. The 470s must be running the latest software (forget
version number)
3. Stack Operation Mode must be set to hybrid.
4. The 470 must be the base switch...
The thing is, through the web managment there is an option for selecting the cascade module (labeled U2).
We need to be able to select the cascade because we are stacking these 470s with 450. This will allow the entire stack to use QoS properly.
So I guess what im saying is....the web...
I'm in the process of writing a script that will create a 470 ascii config file. I have all of the code completed exept for one part of the Qos setup.
The new interface group is created, and each port of the 470 base switch is assigned to it. Now I need to add the cascade port. At the...
