It seems that everything I thought I knew about COR's and FRL's is wrong!
Here's my setup:
I'm installing a new Aura solution comprised of CM with ISDN trunking for local and LD calls. I have a pair of Session Managers connected to CM via SIP trunk. SM is supporting a third-party iPhone based...
I have agents who claim they were able to check their extension VM while logged in as agents. This ability suddenly went away and now when they dial in to VM they get prompted to enter the number of the party they wish to reach (Callegra) instead of the password for their extensions VM box...
Sounds like this will fix a problem I'm having also, but where do I use these commands? Do they have to be entered as part of a script before I run the file capture?
I'm connecting via telnet through an Annex Terminal Server to a Lucent 5ESS with vt100 emulation. Below is an example of a file capture on a simple ls command (btw, 5ESS is based on Unix System V if that helps). My problem is that the capture only captures what is in the window when the...
We are running S8700 CM2.1. Does anyone know of a way to use the Audix Record feature as your MCT recorder? If so, how about a way to combine it on one button?
I tried a similar fix. I made a VDN with a vector step that routed the call to the modem number. Should have accomplished the same thing. I can't do anymore experimenting with it right now, but I will keep that in mind when we re-visit this issue.
As good an idea as any I've heard...but we have no MedPros involved in this scenario. Update: we have a Lucent 5ESS connected to this S8700 (private, not in the PSTN). We removed the modem line from the S8700 and served it straight out of the 5E and everything works fine. The problem is that...
I have an Avaya S8700 r2.1 with an analog line (tn746b) connected to a Siemens Custom Callout Adapter. This device is a remote maintenance modem and I'm not sure (forgive my ignorance, I'm an Avaya guy)how it is different from a standard modem. When I call the Siemens from the s8700 it...

You might consider doing away with the ringdown equipment completely. You can program the end points as analog sets and program them to ring another endpoint or group of endpoints when you go off-hook. On page three of the station form you can set the hotline destination to a dialcode from one...
In ASA run "display alarms" command and change Resolved field to "no". Then use the "list history" command to find the commands that were run to clear the alarms.
The 5:1 rule is more of a "guideline". At one point we had a 9:1 (PN's, not cabinets) ratio on our non-duplicated S8700 (R2.1) with no noticable problems. Clearly not the best practice but the point is there is no software code that limits IPSI service to exactly 5 PN's.
Thanks mrjedi, that worked great! I was able to salvage all of my fried boards. I had to manually add the board through the "ch circuit" command first. Once you seat the card there's only about a five second window to start the download.
Does anyone else have this problem? When upgrading FW on tn464gp/hp, tn793cp and tn2224 some boards are rendered useless. On all three types of board I did a c-lan distributed download and ran the "ch firm down" command scheduling multiple boards at once. In one case I updated ten tn464's...
