Many websites now seem to be able to display an icon in the site bar and in bookmarks/favourites. How do you put the code for this into the website home page please?

    Font option in Word 2002

Gerry: yes, the option has gone from the menu. When I click the format option, the dro;p down menu starts with paragraph, borders & shading etc, but no font. Using customise, as far as I can tell, only lets you add buttons to the menu bars, not the basic font option on the drop down menu...

    Font option in Word 2002

I've just realised that the font option has disappeared from my format drop-down menu. I can still change colour on the button, or change font and point size, but I can't get the font option to change to subscript etc. Any ideas?

    backing up Outlook

Thanks for the pointer Marc. I've installed the update, but you still have to exit Outlook to back it up, so really it doesn't do anything that a couple of clicks couldn't do anyway. Also I've got a couple of PC's that use Outlook Express. I'm a great believer in backing up often and...

    backing up Outlook

Is there a way to backup the Outlook files (*.pst) without shutting down Outlook? Copy or backup programs can't do it as it says the file is in use. Is there a way to say "I know the file is open, I know the risks, but I want to copy it anyway". THanks Dave

    copying open files

Thanks for those two suggestions. Don't think the inuse.exe will work as it appears to be designed for replacing files such as .dlls rather than copying a file. THe file I want to copy is a clipper data file. The appication polls our factory every hour, and if there are any new batch records it...

    copying open files

When I used WIN3.0, I could copy a locked file by disabling share. Can't seem to be able to do this in WIN98/XP. Does anyone know of a utility which will let me copy a file without shutting down the (DOS) program that is holding it open? (I know about vol. shadow copy, but that won't work on...

    Random Restarts as of today.....

I had a similar problem on a nearly-new PC. turned out to be faulty memory, even though it checked out OK.

    copy utility wanted

Does anyone know of a utility, equivalent to the DOS COPY command, that will copy files flagged as open by Windows? I know that there are some backup utilities that will backup open files on a NTFS system, what I need is something simple that will ignore the file lock. Thanks in advance Dave

    printing emails

I run Outlook 2002 on an XP Home machine. If I select file/print, the printer is greyed out so I can't change which printer the email goes to. If I select Table style, then the printer can be selected, but if I go back in and select Memo style, the email still prints to the default printer. If...

    printing emails in Outlook

If I want to print an email in Outlook, I can only change the printer if the email is in plain text. If the email has come in as HTML, the printer is greyed out. Is there an easy way to change printer?
