I have a windows 2003 SBS server where i am unable to access IIS manager, it just hangs. I am unable to do anything with IIS, plus in exchange there are no queues and i am unable to edit any protocols. All IIS services are started.
The only thing that has happened is the owner changed the IP...
I have just got a sumsung r40 machine with a built in DVD writer. When i try to write files to the Cd i get an error saying Problem Copying.. "windows has encountered a problem when trying to copy this file"
I am logged onto the machine as a user with admin permissions, i have also logged onto...
I have a couple of customers who are now getting Vista for new machines. In the past they have had XP, been able to VPN in from home and then RDP to a server/PC. With vista though i am able to get the VPN connected but then i cannot see anything on the network. When i do IPconfig i see there is...
Thanks for getting back.
What do i need to do to tell it that the Serial interface is no longer in the Router. I have already got the IP details for it.
At the moment i have 2 1700 routers at both ends of a Leased line. They have X21 connections to a media converter which converts to BNC.
We are moving to a new 10Mb LAN extension and i am therefore thinking of change the X21 Interface Cards to RJ45. Would i need to do any configuration changes...
We have a folder which holds some Sage Payroll data on Windows 2003 Server. At random times this folder becomes inaccessible. This folder is not shared but the folder above it is. Everyone has Full control of the folder.

I have a windows 2003 SBS SP1 machine that about every 2 days requires a reboot because DNS, DHCP etc fail. I am unable to restart these services. I thought it might be something to do with RPC service?
I have now thought it maybe a memory leak. I get error 2019 in event viewer. I have seen a...
i beleive there is a setting somewhere to set the default domain name to your domain in IIS.
I have it setup through a customised OWA logon page where the user enters there username & password and then when you click login it will enter the domain netbios name and log the user in.
I have looked on the watchguard website and it says that soho 6tc is able to connect to 10 different firebox's. If you have a standard sohoo 6 you can buy additional branch office VPN modules which will allow you to connect to other firebox's.
You need to configure a One-to-One NAT. In policy Manager go to Setup and NAT. In there select Advanced and the 1-to-1 NAT tab. This is as far as i go as i have never actually done a 1-to-1 NAT.
If you go to watchguards website they have guides on to do this in detail. Also become a memeber of...
Are you sure the users haven't deleted these folders. If a user deletes a folder from within a network share it will not go to the recycle bin, it will just go. Also nothing will be entered in the event log.
These users never use a deaktop machine. I appreciate why the PDA doesn't keep the emails, but the mailbox on the server just keeps getting bigger and bigger and the user via his PDA can do nothing about it.
I have many engineers out on the road with PDA's with pocket pc 2003 and using activesync. All is working great apart from when they delete items from their inbox. They will sync and the item disappears from the deleted items folder on the PDA, however when you look through a normal outlook...
I have configured OWA to work with SSL for my domain, all working OK. However when i have come to try and logon with my child domain i am getting an HTTP error 500. The child domain is an old NT 4.0 domain added to my windows domain, so i am using the old netbois name of the domain and then the...
I have got NNTP virtual server started, and a Pull Feed configured for pulling down only the microsoft stuff. It downloads the folders and subfolders, but none of the posts in any of the folders.
Any ideas
I currently have 2 citrix XPe servers with load balancing enabled on user sessions. These servers are held in a domain of their own along with the sage server. I want to migrate these servers to my main Windows 2k3 domain. They currently are on a different IP address range, but i would like to...
We have salesmen come into the office who mainly connect via POP3 from home. But when they come in to the office they still need to be able to connect via pop3.
