Some times if the disk went bad and you are trying to remove the lvs...and one
gets stuck, you end up doing the entire rm procedure for the disk...including
rmdev -dl....but not sure that is your problem...
Are you trying to keep the lv or remove it?

The 7043-150 only did OS
AIX Version 4.2.1, Version 4.3.3, or Version 5.1 operating system
so the mksysb restore probably will fail. If you have new adapters
the code will not be a part of the 4.1.5 os mksysb.... and so depending on
the device it could fail....with no drivers....

Which model of 43P do you have....Not all did 4.1.5
the 43P 100 I believe did 4.1.5.......but you had to remove the battery and let the
nvram drain ..........before trying to load.........
And be careful with unsupported adapters if you added new ones......since not all adpaters worked with...
