I don't know if you put this problem to bed or not, but when I look at this problem, I think about transactions.
Something akin to an invoice header and invoice detail with a twist.
Think about the invoice date, due date, address on the header and the transactions listed in the detail section...
I am working in a mixed environment with several domains, and I need to build a script that takes a recently imaged workstation in the default "WORKGROUP" and joins it to a domain. I am VBS within an HTA form. The script runs fine when launched on a desktop that is already joined to a domain...
Make it look easy.
Ask yourself why is the boss being pushy? Is the boss just being an ass, or is there a serious impact due to the down time. Usually there is a reason. Bosses do not like to hear complaints; rather they like to hear solutions to a problem

Sounds like a one-to-one relationship. Table A queries Table B and Table B queries Table A?
I prefer using the relationship design tool in Access because it enforces referential integrity. However, using a query to relate to another table would work -- Access is fairly easy to use, and this...

I am fairly certain that a company can not stop you from working - you have to feed the kids, pay the mortgage, etc. And since you are doing what you do best, preventing you from being able to do what you have trained your self to do well amounts to preventing...
Okay, you desktop management geru's -- What about expanding the scope of this specific forum?
Am I correct that many of us who manage SMS servers also manage WSUS (Windows Update Service) and GPO (Group Policies) and maybe even AD (Active Directory). And of course, Packaging.

For example,

Two KB's apply...

... but only the most recent one is actually required.
The other thing is how WSUS is configured. Updates have to...
Sorry about not getting back to everyone -- was pulled off on another project.

I am trying to "fix" somebody else's problem -- very poor resolution and lack of clarity on reception end of video projection. I am looking for suggestions on a better video card, configuration changes, third party software suggestions or tweaks.

Very different. Would you consider migrating to Microsoft SQL instead ?? There is an upgrade path from Access to MS*SQL, and MS*SQL is a very capable enterprize application database.

Hmmm. Hypothetically, if you own four different fast food joints, such as Tim Hortons (coffee and sandwiches), and employees may "roam" between the locations, they may be promoted / demoted, and they may move to part-time or to full-time. Does this fit your type of problem?
As a...

It has been a long, long time since I been to Tek-Tips -- the site is great, just a severe lack of time.
And I am stumped.
I want to delete links to the web sites that Microsoft automatically populates into the end users' favourites when installing Internet Explorer.

The only thing I can think of is if a server was rebooted or a network connection / cable disconnected.
Talked to your network admins. They should have alerts and alarms for dropped connections, etc.
And this should be a rare thing ... except if you do server reboots as part of the weekend...
