Check the crnserver.log for more info on whats happening - also double check the virtual directroies are correctly setup in your webserver. If using IIS 6 make sure you have either allowed all unknown CGI's (if using this interface), or you can tie it down more to the CGI used, but I don't have...
You could possibly do this, but you wouldn't want to. This sort of transformation should be carried out during an ETL process and handled at the database end, rather than any client product.
Hope that helps =)
2 options
1/ Make it optional and not choosing anything?
2/
Add a drop down prompt to the report
Add “All” as a static choice
In the filter type ((?prompt? = ‘All’) Or (column = ?prompt?))
Report based on GO sample package -

This can be related to the temporary file settings for the browser -
Delete all Temporary Internet files
Steps -
From IE browser Menu select
Tools > Internet Options > General >
Select Delete Files

Sorry, no more information. I know it exists as I have seen it myself, and also I have advised people to reduce it to zero in a number of cases and it has resolved memory problems. To test if it is, simply do as I said - reduce it to zero, and re-test the problem reports. It is definately not...
Are you logged in (OS password/login) as an administrator on the machine? Sometimes the permissions can cause this error if AM cannot read the registry correctly. Check with IT to see if they have patched, or secured the machine recently. Also, if doing it remotely - log on directly on the...
This can be due to the way Transformer stores data. The current model of partitioning is used, which means after reading source records, transformer makes a number of discreet partitions to hold data. No dimensions can span partitions, so the smallest partition will be large enough to hold the...
Well, good luck, but if the base newsbox IDs are different, you are hitting another version of Upfront somehow. Have fun in the sun, and keep us updated =)
Make sure your on RBF3 at least - 6.61 700 (Help/About) as this is the most stable version. Also, set your undo steps(properties) to zero, close the client, re-open it and then create and save the report. Only things I can think of, sorry =)
You are correct - the parent id is what is found in the Upfront - newsbox/properties - newsbox ID. So, if you have hardcoded this, it makes no sense that it works on one machine, but not another. All you are really doing is sending the XML command via the URL - you could test just that line in a...
There is something wrong with the <parent ID> value on your machine. Check the value that the variable is populated with on your machine, and compare to a working machine value. Something is making the difference on your machine, could be the VB version or OS version or service pack. With this...
Right, well, the DCOM settings are certianly needed - you could check and explicitly name the user used for the 2 services. Also, you need the 'log on locally', 'act as part of the operating system' and 'log on as a service' rights for the account.
Oh, and you have to be installing LOCALLY - no...
You could try -
1. Shut down the object store services.
2. ** Back up the current DB files into another folder.
3. Remove the original DB files. (NOT the .adb files)
4. Restart the Object Store services.
5. Go to the \program files\cognos\cer1\bin directory and enter the following:
