Data Dump/Pivot Table Vs Cognos Report

We have a Large Datadump and we are usign pivot tables to allow users to look at the data from different perspectives by pivoting the data on the numerous fields. I was wondering if I could transfer this data dump pivot table into a cognos report. is that possible at all ?
We are currently using Cognos Impromptu.

You could possibly do this, but you wouldn't want to. This sort of transformation should be carried out during an ETL process and handled at the database end, rather than any client product.
