I just put a 2003 SBS online and used the Exchange Migration Wizard to move the mailboxes from the old SBS to the new one.
I reconfigured outlook 2000 on a workstation to go to the new exchange server but whenever I try to send email I get "destination email system is unknown or invalid"...
I have found 20gb to be a good size. Yes, there is space left over, but I like knowing I'm not bumping up against a limit on my system drive. I used 24gb on one server as well and am satisfied with it. Consider the cost of "wasted" disk space against the value of time if you estimate too low...
I've looked at that. However, I actually wanted to setup a new domain because the old domain configuration was so badly done. As a result, the Microsoft method SEEMED just fine for me. Other than the minor fact it appears not to work :(.
I'd actually like to do the ADMT migration but have...
I have a Windows 2000 SBS running Exchange Server and BES. There is also a standard Windows 2003 Server running on the domain.
I have installed a Windows 2003 SBS with a new domain since you can't have two coexist at the same time.
I THINK I followed the Migration instructions but am getting...
I had already had the lines set to appear&ring on the 2nd phone and, from another thread that was referencing some other issue caught on to the # of rings before voicemail. So I changed that and it did the trick.
I've tried both of the other offered variations, just out of curiosity, and they...
Congress, via the ENERGY POLICY ACT OF 2005. It amended the "Uniform Time Act" of 1966. Of course, the President signed it, but the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate both passed the bill and sent it to the president to sign.
It was part of a broader "Energy Policy Act" that...
Our switchboard operator has multiple duties in the office and will sometimes be away from her desk. To ensure the phone gets answered we wanted a second phone in the office to ring when someone calls in - but to go to the general mailbox if the 2nd person doesn't answer.
I tried setting the...
Here's a few other things to check:
Event Viewer / Application Log: Make sure mailbox online-defragmentation is not aborting. A damaged database can cause this but you will also see this if you are running certain spam blocking software or software that adds messages to the bottom of outgoing...
I'm just trying to keep it simple for them. I can program the external # in the button but not the conf (unless I'm doing something wrong).
Right now it looks like the process would be:
1) Call party #1 and determine if a "transfer" is needed. If not then hang up otherwise ...
2) Hold Party...
I have an employee who will be initiating phone calls and will, on ocassion, need to transfer the caller to a person's home phone #.
My hope was to program a button to call the external # and execute a feature 3 conference and then preferably drop off the line.
At this point I would be...
I just did this last week. You should be able to plug the 24v supply into the outlet and take the two wires from the supply to the punch-down.
I don't think it's polarity sensitive but I went negative to 3 and positive to 6. As I recall, the CAP has a bridge array to deal with polarity.
In...
I looked for answer on ring for AA and couldn't find it.
I thought that would be a better solution until I contemplated what I wanted to do.
Where is the answer on ring selection hidden?
Thanks again,
Brian
Well, that's what we tried earlier and they seemed genuinely confused. I will give it a go again though - as I believe that is the source of the problem.
Thanks again,
brian
No channel bank. I'm taking T1 straight to card. I expected the lines to ring like a POTS line but I believe the source of my problem may be that they do not.
Any inbound number can ring anywhere in the trunk it's a part of. Someone calls the third number in our list and it could ring in...
Just in case this changes things, I'm using Cbeyond's integrated service. The 3.0mbs plan.
I had the choice of PRI or T1 and went with T1 since that was the configuration we had at the old building.
I'm not sure what kind of information you were looking for when you asked the question, but...
I am being told the phone number is being sent. But that was after a "huh" from my service provider's technical support person.
I realize that putting DID in the topic header has created confusion :(. So let me make sure what I'm doing is understood:
1) 15 lines in one group.
2) 16th line in...
Thanks! That change works. But now I get "One Moment Please ... you have entered an invalid extension ... " and then the AA starts as desired.
Any idea why I get the preceeding stuff?
Brian
