No, you will not be able to acomplish this with R2.
jonnyGURU, are you sure R6 doesn't do this? According to AVAYA's Installation and programming manual, this feature was available starting with R6.
I've got a LaserJet 4+, networked with a JetDirect card. On other networked LaserJet printers I've used, the display shos "processing job" while printing.....but on my printer the display continues to read "ready" while printing a job...is there anyway to force the printer to display "processing...
They ahd the metal corner tab for the main trya, but this is not what I am looking for. On the optional lower tray, there are four sets of two holes near the rear of the drawer, one set for each paper size. I am looking for the (plastic?) tab that fits in these holes.
So, I picked up an optional lower tray for my Laserjet4. I attached it and tried to print, and the printer jammed up pretty good....I opened it up and found that the plastic tab that attaches to the metal base of the tray in holes depending on paper size, is missing. I don't want to buy a whole...
Perfect.....my DHCP address hardly ever change (today was the first time in over a year), so I think I'll go with that....if I have problems I'll go with static.....now, anybody have a PDF or know where to get a PDF of the manual, so I'm not blindly hunting around the menu?
Somenoe told me that JetDirect wasn't capable of receving a DHCP lease. Is this correct?...if so, how do I go about assigning a static IP address? (delete the printer from the DHCP client table and then manually assign an IP address at the printer (192.169.1.2xx for static IP's on a Linksys?)...
So, I just aquired a LaserJet 4plus with an internal JetDirect card. I'm gonna guess that simply plugging the printer into the network will not work. Can someone give me a rough outline of what I need to do to be in business? All computers on the network are XP, no domain (all peer to peer)...
I've been looking for the Panasonic ringer box for a 96 port DBS system so that my analog phones will ring. I can't find one at a reasonable cost....which got me to thinking. All the ringer box is simply a ring generator....so would it be possible to canabalize a Norstar ATA or a WEco 1A2 power...
As it turns out, there is going to be a 3 week delay getting the KSU and sets released from the school district that owns it. I'll probably wait the 3 weeks...but if anyone has a 96ex and some sets available now I'd like to know. I may be interested if the price is somewhat comparable to what I...
The equipment is coming straight out of use in a large lot, some had Amanda voice mail already. I had already said I wanted a SL board, so hopefully the guy I'm buying it from (via another telecom forum) will include the APL board.
The lot also had some of the rarer green sets. I would like to...
Unfortuneatly, my VM does not have a set of defaults for Vodavi...but it's not too terrible to set up.
I though I read somewhere that in addition to the ring generator and SIB, you need an application board, or something like that. Is this something that susually comes standard with the KSU, or...
Well I don't have it yet (some red tape getting the equipment released from the School District that owns it)...but I will have a 96ex. I was very impressed with the features it has, especially for an older system. The inband integration is perfect for my application (using NCH Swift Soft's IVM...
No, I don't need the size of the 96ex...but I do want the flexibility and expandibility of it. I have an analog voicemail system that I am trying to get to work on the N*, but of course there's no hope of inband signaling with just an ATA. I found a great deal on the 96ex (will be much cheaper...
I see a spot for button caps, but when I click the link it says that no items were found. I'll try calling them though, just to be sure. Anybody got any other suggestions?
Yeah, I agree.......especially since (in my experience) Nortel seems to be one of the more expensive manufacturers, seond only to Avaya. Which makes me wonder why someone wouldn't just spend the extra money for a Partner when it does have more little details "nailed down" and also supports...
I can't believe Nortel would leave out the option to turn ringing preferece off! Oh well......I may be buying an old Vodavi 96EX anyway, which looks like it will be just as nice as my norstar (except that it's not digital).
3x8 DR5.....is there any way to turn off ringing line preference so that I can pick up and get an intercom dial tone while the phone is ringing (on an outside line) rather than having to answer the call? I haven't seen anything like this in programming, but I find it hard to believe that my old...
As long as the ATA is punched pown properly and has power it will work. I use a cordless with an ATA on my 3x8 at home. What software version do you have? Maybe ATA's are only compatible with DR5/5.1
