Hello all,
I'm a bit of a rookie at SQL since I don't have much work with it very often. However, I have a situation where I need to schedule (on an SQL Server 2000 platform), an SQL script to run once a day. I know what the syntax of the SQL query needs to be, but don't know how I go about...
Not 100% certain of this. I believe it will work, but need to verify. Can a Citrix PS4 server(loaded on a 2003 server), function in an NT 4 domain?
Thanks in advance.

I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I am trying to install RMS on a client Presentation Server 4 farm. The client just upgraded from XPe to Presentation Server 4 (and yes it does reflect the enterprise edition), and I cannot seem to locate where the installation executables are...
The client is set to register to DNS. Have not tried yet using Windows 2000 as DHCP server, however at present that is not an option.
Do you know if Active Directory is required for DDNS to function?

Hello All,
I have a client with a peer-to-peer network environment (mixed windows and linux). I want to setup a DDNS service on their windows 2000 server to have workstations register themselves against it (for local name resolution).
The DHCP server is a Linux based device.
Currently, I...
Hello all,
I am presently envolved in a project with an ISP, and we are reviewing the provisioning details of placing equipment (for this project) at client sites. One item we wish to consider is disabling the console port of a cisco 831 router which will be placed at the client's location. I...
Latest superdat has been applied. I will try using the DOS executable though and see what luck it brings. If anyone has any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have tried stinger with no avail. As well, the client has an alternate site with the same issue, with McAfee 7.x Virusscan. Same thing, the virusscan does not detect the existance of a virus. I will try housecall and see how it goes. Could this be a trojan of sort. There seems to be a...
Hello All,
Have a client who has mcafee virusscan 4.51 on their PC with latest dat's. Problem is that there is some virus or trojan on the PC which automatically disables the virus engine. What tools can I use to detect and remove this?
Please help.

Hi Akiwando,
thanks for the tip. Actually, I had already found that info, and enabled both office mode and sdl. I find that I am able to log onto the domain, with the login scripts being executed. However there appears to be some inconsistency with it. At times I receive a message...
Hello All,
Bit of a newbie to checkpoint, however I am well familiar with the concepts associated with firewalls as I am more of a Cisco PIX fellow.
In my current contract placement, I have a need to setup connectivity for a smaller remote office, to the head office location. They use...
Hard to tell. I suspect that the app returns the IP address of the client PC (i.e. the local IP address which is picked up by the citrix client). What I need is a reference to the IP address after it has been tranlated to routable internet address.

Hello All Citrix Guru's
I have the need to determine what external IP addresses are associated with a particular user's session.
My scenario is as such, I have a Point of Sale application published out to several outlet stores across a geographically disperse area. For support simplicity, I...
Hello All,
Haven't done much of the Novell administration in a while, and I have a client with Groupwise, who wishes to be able to audit employee email, to ensure that staff are complying with their email policy (i.e. for corporate use only). What solutions can I consider for this (i.e is the...
Citrix friends,
I am working on a solution for a client, to deploy a POS application over Citrix. The issue is that this application was initially developed to run on stand-alone systems. when launched, it checks the systems local memory for running instances of itself, and if it detects one...
Hey byteya,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I figured it out. It appears that Cisco and Nortel use a different standard for link negotiation. What you need to do is to disable link negotiation on the Cisco edge Gig port, and it works.
Trying to figure out how to get a Nortel Baystack 460 to connect to a Cisco Catalyst 3500 via a SX GBIC. Can't seem to get the Cisco to link. Anyone with any experience on this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
