Hi,
I have a database from which i wish to pull out a 'summary' like report.
this report will consist of users, and the weeks for which the data has been input for each user.
the table from which the data is pulled looks something like this:
fldid{user id} | fldcategoryid | fldcategorydata...
hi,
i have sharepoint server running on a dual 1ghz with 1gb ram.
Question being - why is it when its started for the first time, does the page/portal take AT LEAST 3 minutes! Fair enough, then it's semi-quick (not the speed you expect from a LAN).
I know its JIT compilation of the page, but...
hmm - strange:
----
Error: [server name]\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group is not a valid drive, or you do not have access.
----
I entered the credentials properly when setting up the backup, checked twice - and its still no go
any ideas?
I use Ghost to back-up the whole server, but I do not wish to restart the server to just backup exchange, if there's no need for it.
Is it possible to backup exchange data somehow?
If so - how?
Thank you
I've done EXACTLY once again - step by step.
Although after deleting all the A records and just adding the needed once.
If again the server is restarted, the wrong IP's are once again added. :(
I've set the NIC NOT to publish its address in DNS - but obviuosly it still does it - or something...
I've done exactly - once again - yet after rebooting the server.
The name of the server with the other interfaces ip once again gets added to the dns list. Hence when a query is made from external machines - they all get the 2 ip's.
Any more ideas?
Am not concerned with internet usage, am just concerned when people download things over the lan they saturate the network. I wish to be able to just prioritise say http traffic, or some ip addresses to have priority over others
where should i be looking ? QoS? proxy server?
possible to set...
Anyone know of a way to do throttle certain ip's bandwidth?
Also - if possible by protocol.
All ideas are welcome...
PS: - Is there a generic solution, or would I have to resort to third party software? other microsoft software?
Is perhaps ISA Server capable of it?
Thank you.
You need to set the maximum upload data higher than what you're uploading.
This can be done through Virtual Server configurations.
Also - make sure there's no quota on the site nor the server which you extended.
I wish to be able to share some videos on my portal. Although upon uploading them as documents, memory hits through the roof.
I thought about using shared folders, and then adding a virtual directory in IIS and linking to it in the portal, although it saves a lot of memory - it doesnt work for...
Okay - was trying to follow:
---------
On the Server Administration page, under Virtual Servers, next to the virtual server you want to change, click Administration.
Under Administration, click Change configuration settings.
In the Performance Tuning area, in the Tune for box, select the...
Am trying to track down the cause of my memory problems. I've tried restarting the server, yet even when it starts, its already eating about 1gb of memory (832 RAM is available)
So this doesnt do justice to its perfomance. I thought its the sql server, but turning it off didnt solve my...
