If you are using Cisco switches, you can limit the port to one specific MAC address.
If any other MAC address is detected on that port, it can be shut down immediately, requiring an administrator to re-enable it.
That, along with an email with the words 'up to and including termination' should...
>>Can you ping the computer that host the TFTP server? If no, are they on the same subnet/same IP rage?<<
Not only can I ping the TFTP server, I have no problem copying the running-config from the same router. It is just the flash that is giving me the problem. They are all on the 192.168.1.XXX...
Hey wolf,
The command needs to be issued from interface mode. In my case, it is S0 (Serial port zero).
2505(config-if)#bandwidth ?
<1-10000000> Bandwidth in kilobits
So, if you issued bandwidth 1544, you would be setting T1 speed on that interface. Here is the output:
2505#sh int s0
Serial0...
I am able to copy flash from a 2505 to my tftp server, and I can copy the running-config fine from the 2501 to the same tftp server, but when I try to copy the flash, this is what I get:
2501#copy flash tftp
System flash directory:
File Length Name/status

I can't find too much on troubleshooting WP envelope printing, but if nothing prints, I would check paper/media type. Can you print the envelope information on plain paper ok?

You might have to run the list through Excel first, and rearrange the columns.
Step-by-step instructions here http://www.uno.edu/~ucc/howto/misc/editors/import_ab.htm
I am not sure if you can run your Excel macro without having Excel open, and starting it and stopping it every minute might take longer than that.

No, the attachment is not broken up. One particular document was only 38 KB in size, and it was renamed to C.DTF. I am able to send the same user a word document with no problems. It seems to be an encoding issue. This is not Outlook Express; it is Outlook 2002. Thanks.
I'm no programmer, but I found this article that deals with v6: http://maths.sci.shu.ac.uk/units/vpl/AppendixB.doc
and this one that pertains to v4: http://www.devx.com/premier/mgznarch/vbpj/1996/12dec96/balena.pdf
Good luck bud.
Sending attachments in Outlook XP does not work for one of our users. This is with .doc, .xls, .ppt, and other formats. I have sent attachments to the same recepients using Outlook XP with no problem. This started occurring about a month ago. The user did not make any changes to his system. This...
Problem has been resolved. I needed to specify an IP address on the same network (192.168.1.X). (No VLANs yet - I don't even have a switch.)
I have zero documentation on this router, and I had never seen one before I bought it, so I had to fish around for a while to find the correct combination...
I didn't get that question on my CCNA exam, and I sure can't get an answer on the web, so I will have to ask for some help.
Here is what I got:
A 10/100 hub with 8 ports and 1 uplink port.
A Cisco 2505 router.
Can the router be connected to the hub, and would I use the uplink port or a regular...
I am having similar issues with my 2505. I can't get a link light while trying to connect from a 10/100 hub to the 2505. I would assume Router to Switch would be the same as Router to Hub, but using a straight cable from either the uplink port or one of the 8 PC ports to the 2505 isn't working...
