Some HP drivers don't work well with Citrix
Have a look at these 2 links

I not sure if this driver is supported in a Citrix enviroment - but you need to double...
I need to add a macro into normal.dot so it will be available for all users
But when I look on any of the citrix servers there is no normal.dot present - it is only in the users profiles
No its not hidden
Checked that and all identical to the working server
And here's what's weird
I give my test user Full control on every folder on the server - still doesn't work
If I put them in Domain Admins - works a treat !

No definitely profiles ! The TS Profiles points to a central profile area
But in this case is this not a roaming profile - i was told they only use local profiles !
I’m babysitting an XPe FR3 farm using AD
Could u explain a bit about profile behaviour
I’ve been informed that they don’t use roaming profiles – but that a lot of the apps have settings in the users profile folder
Each user account has an X drive mapped to a central Citrix Profiles folder...
The XML service has been changed to 8080 on the servers so the clients need to reflect this
In praxtical terms we don't have a problem here as add server names in on the client....
I just want to know if the clients are configured to use HTTP\TCP\IP and you have your ICA DNS entry pointing at...
Hi Scott
Not me - i've inherited this lot- if it had stayed
at the default of 80 - happy days
I believe that to change XML port you have to do it via the commmand prompt on each server - and not to keen on this as all server comms depend on it - probably not worth the hasssle
So I just want...

I've tried editing the appsrv.ini from
XmlAddressResolutionType=DNS-Port
to....
XmlAddressResolutionType=8080
But no joy
Tried a custom connection but same result !
All working now - didn't know that if you use Oracle 8i clients - permissions on the tnsname.ora and sqlnet.ora files are crucial.
Thanx for the contribution guys.
Copy explorer.exe to explorer2.exe and publish that. The desktop will no longer appear.
And remember that publishing a renamed copy of Explorer is neither supported nor foolproof.
There are many options within a published version of Explorer that will not work, or cause the app to crash...
Yes a last resort - cos everything else works fine on this server and its just this one annoying app
Its so weird that it won't work on a brand new server either.........
Right I've tried installing the app on other servers and setting up the System DSN connection
And the same thing is happening - the users can only log into the app if they have Domain Admin rights !
I've tried adding the DSN using local admin rights - but no difference
Anyone got an idea of...
