Lupins - I get an error message 'a number or currency amount is required here' on the 2nd STKM.BIN_LOCATION
Synapsevampire - ummm sorry ... I have no idea what to do with this :-)
Thanks for replying
The bin location has a number in it - ie .47, but the the field is usually used for alpha in the database, hence crystal considers it a string I assume
Although the bin location is designed for alpha there are no alpha characters used in this database
I am rewriting a report written in version 7
The formula is ToNumber ({STMAST.BIN_LOCATION}) * {SOTRAN.QUANTITY}
This works fine in version 7, but in version 10 I get an error
'The string is non-numeric'
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Helen
I have a report written in Crystal 7 using dictionaries coming from a dataflex db
I need to bring it up to Crystal Reports 9 using ODBC rather than the dictionaries.
Am encountering several problems.
The first, is that if I bring it up to 8.5 using dictionaries it's ok. But if I then bring...
Hi again
Sorry, but I can't get that to work because there is a group in place which it's sorting on as the primary sort
I want to leave that group in place but force it to sort on due date first
Thanks
Helen
Hi
There was only one group for job no
If I create a second group for due date it's still treating the job no as the primary sort
If I reverse them I get garbage
Is there someway to leave the 1 group (job no) in place but force it to sort by date first?
Thanks
Helen
Hi ... hoping you can help me again
I have a report listing:
Job No. Due Date Hours + more etc
Without the detail hidden the report will list line after line, all showing the same job no.
All lines with the same job no will have the same date - other fields will differ
Have grouped...
There's a heap of them under HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Class

Hi
Yes, I've done a 'find' on it - not there
I'm reluctant to create the structure as I'm not sure what's involved - the next section of the article says:
Search through each of the listed 000n values to find the DriverDesc key that pertains to the dial-up adapter or modem.
Double-click the...
I've been having a problem with outlook express hanging with attachments
Looked thru the Microsoft Knowledge Base & it appears 315008 'may' solve my problem (willing to give anything a try at this stage)
I'm using xp pro, outlook express 6.0
Article says :

Hi
In a situation where there's 4 pc's running XP Pro, connected to a server (& the server is also being used as a pc) can the server also be running XP Pro, or should it run 2003 server, or Small Business Server.

I have the following
Sales Credits Net etc (text lines)

Hi
I've written a report based on a SQL very large SQL database.
If I ask it to return say 3 trans for 1 day & 3 for the next day it comes back perfect.
If I ask it to return a whole day I get figures that are too high. If I ask for a whole month they are off the scale - ie $1.5m when should...
