I have a report written in Crystal 7 using dictionaries coming from a dataflex db
I need to bring it up to Crystal Reports 9 using ODBC rather than the dictionaries.
Am encountering several problems.
The first, is that if I bring it up to 8.5 using dictionaries it's ok. But if I then bring it into 9 still using the dictionaries I get a failed rowset error. I've downloaded the patch from the knowledge base but it hasn't solved the problem.
The main problem however, is with the links.
I eventually want to have it in 9.0 via ODBC
So, I brought it up to 8.5 using the dictionaries, then used the db expert to add the ODBC files I wanted.
But what it's doing is still showing the dictionaries with the whole boxes linked together (I expected that) but it's adding the files from ODBC to the dictionaries
Meaning instead of having say 3 boxes linked from the dictionaries, I now have 6 boxes linked - but no individual records
Clear & delete links doesn't work as it thinks they're dictionaries
I need to be able to separate the 3 files I've brought up via ODBC so I can link the records in those files, then I'll remove the dictionaries.
Sorry this is so long winded - I hope you understand what I'm trying to say
Thanks
Helen
