Hi

I've written a report based on a SQL very large SQL database.
If I ask it to return say 3 trans for 1 day & 3 for the next day it comes back perfect.
If I ask it to return a whole day I get figures that are too high. If I ask for a whole month they are off the scale - ie $1.5m when should be around $300,000
Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks
Helen

PLease explain the tables oyu are working with, the relationships, are they one-to-one or many-to-one relationships, etc.

It's using 3 tables via ODBC
Debtors Masterfile
Debtors Transaction File
Stock Transaction File

Linked DRSMAST & DRSTRAN via Customer Code
Linked DRSTRAN & STKTRAN via transaction reference no

Does this help
Sorry - it's hard to explain !
Thanks
Helen

"I've written a report based on a SQL very large SQL database"

By this statement do you mean that you have created the SQL query or the Query was created using the Visual Linking expert?

You probably have a query through improper linking that retrieves many duplicate records....or perhaps there is a many to many linking that would naturally produce these duplicates.

Without details of the tables or a copy of the query if you wrote it....it is impossible for us to diagnose the problem..It is not Crystal's fault...it is how your tables are linked.
