is there a way to pass a session from a page on 1 server to a page on another server, I know u can pass sessions between pages on the same website/server but what if I have 2 servers and I want to pass a session to the other machine.
basicly Iam running a chat server on 1 machine and the site...
I uploaded a page and when accessing it on internet explorer it takes u to the coreect url but when using Firefox or netscape it take u to the url of the button closes to it and not the url programmed to go to. any idea, some radio buttons are like this as well.

I have a servers primary and secondary. when someone adds data to one server it automaticly update the second, so that way if dns rouths to the second the same data is there but yet updating the first server if the data is is entered on server 2

seems like new version of mysql does not like to be put in a directory other than the default. as soon as I used the default everything worked.

I just installed mysql andI can coonect remotly but my php script wont connect and retrieve data, now I know it is not a php issue, cause that works on other servers that I put the same database on.
I am on MySQL 4.1.10a Windows (x86)
running Apache 2.0.53 Win32 Binary
with PHP 4.3.10 Windows...

it is an internet site, all domains and dns from registar side is done. all ports are open but configuring dns on the box is where my issue is.

I think wrong Ip address, i used the 66.166.12?.?? and not the primary dns and secondary dns ip addresses that covad gabe me

ip valid yes they are, assigned yes.at the momment no firewall but will soon but yes gateway, covad saids that they leave all port open but i can check that they do have port 53 open

thats is my point. is there a step by step windows dns instruction that tells u how to setup dns fo web servers, everything zi found incorporatesactive directory and I guess thats where I am getting confused.
I never once used the dns ip address assigned by my t1 provider, I only used the dns...
I think I have the dns servers here configured incorrectly there for the information required to propergate is not trasfering cause nslookups can see it.

I have registered the dns on the register and I also pointed the domain to the dns1.?????.com
so that part of it is fine.
on the local side, I have a t1 with static and subnet, gateway.. dedicated.
the server has that information hard coded into the card so that fine.
the ip address assigned...
