Merlin Legend - check who is signed in using ES2?

Thanks, MerlinMan DSS only has one red light next to each extension. Red on in supervisor mode means signed in. Off means signed out. This is working ok. Extensions spill over onto page 2 of DSS, but after the extensions of actual users end there is a break in "on lights", then there are 8...

Merlin Legend - check who is signed in using ES2?

The signed in status monitoring seems to be working on the MLX-20L and DSS. The extra lights on were on page 2 of DSS and after the end of our current user extensions so while I'm not sure why they are on, they can at least be identified as separate.

Merlin Legend - check who is signed in using ES2?

One more add on -- is there a way to make calling group ring different on agent's phones so they can tell if a call is being sent from calling group? Thanks!

Merlin Legend - check who is signed in using ES2?

Thanks, Merlinman. How would one setup the MLX-20L as calling group supervisor? When using the feature 32 + hold, I see it go into supervisor mode and see lights on DSS, but it seems like there are more lights lit up than members of calling group I'm looking to monitor so something is not...

Merlin Legend - check who is signed in using ES2?

Merlin Legend R7, Calling group to server as backup for reception, ES2 buttons programmed on MLX phones. Operator Console is MLX-20L and DSS attached. Is there a way to see who is signed in? Hoping there is a way to either view on MLX-20 screen or on DSS. Thanks!

Intermittant Dead Air / One Sided calls

Thanks phonesrus. That sounds like the best fit for what is happening.

Intermittant Dead Air / One Sided calls

Rebooted and had same issue. Took analog phone around to trunk lines to take PBX out of the picture and replicated same issue which convinced Verizon they may actually have a problem on their end. Basically, the calls get connected but one party hears silence. It also only seems to happen to a...

Intermittant Dead Air / One Sided calls

Thanks. Yeah, I'll be power cycling it at the close of business. It's not bad enough to knock everyone off the system during the day. I experienced the issue first hand and I would get dead air after dialing one number in 703 area code, then hang up and dial number in 410 area code that went...

Intermittant Dead Air / One Sided calls

Merlin legend system Hybrid/PBX. With no apparent pattern, outbound calls will hear dead silence after dialing. They don't hear a ring or a voice after entering the number. Some of the calls, at least, do complete as people have called back to say they could hear us, but we couldn't hear them...

Merlin Mail/Legend Direct Line to Voicemail from Outside

If I wanted to provide a telephone number that allows employees to check voicemail from outside without going through the operator during business hours, what's the best way to do that? I'm assuming it goes something like assign a line to the VM group... Thanks! duffman

Extend Legend PBX to 2nd floor from 9th floor?

Thanks. Nothing wrong with that. Just looking for info on how it is typically done since I don't do this (work with PBXs) on a regular basis. I figured it is something that is done every day so I'd ask those in the field. Cheers!

Extend Legend PBX to 2nd floor from 9th floor?

Existing Merlin Legend on 9th floor. They have leased extra space on 2nd floor and need to have 15-20 extensions on 2nd floor. Cable distance would probably be about 250 feet. This is probably doable for voice cabling, but I'm not sure if we would be allowed to run individual extension lines...

    Conference Phones for Merlin Legend

Yeah, I started calling the ATL phones analog in an attempt to make users at location understand that they shouldn't plug ATL sets into digital MLX outlets or vice versa. The adapters are kind of klugy so I'm trying to avoid them. The location has two carriers/two power supplies or one big...

    Conference Phones for Merlin Legend

Thanks. I think the cards I referred to as analog are actually ATL cards rather than basic analog modules. How difficult would it be to install a basic module in place of an extra MLX module?

    Conference Phones for Merlin Legend

I can't seem to find any Polycom type conference phones designed to work with our old Merlin Legend system. The polycoms themselves all say that it requires an analog line. while we can always have a phone line put in for it, it would be nice to have the conference phone on an a merlin...

Idle Line / Outside Line Preference

yes, there are those three buttons, but also a button labeled OUT for outside above the SA buttons. i'm assuming this is a programmed button that is not part of the default PBX programmed features. on the MLX-10 phones where this button "works", you can just pick up the phone and dial out...

Idle Line / Outside Line Preference

Thanks. I had followed a similar procedure from the avaya site: On a ETR, MLS or MLX phone: 1. Press Feature or # and dial 00 to enter programming mode. 2. Press a System Access button. 3. Dial *14. 4. Press the lines in the order the phone should have access to them. The lights next to the...

Idle Line / Outside Line Preference

Have Merlin Legend R7 MLX-10 phone. Phones have three SA buttons and an outside line button. Some phones have outside line button selected as default meaning the red light is on next to the outside line button and when the pick up the phone they can dial outside numbers without dialing 9. How...

Personal Ext & VM for Operator

Merlin Legend R7/MerlinMail operator extension is 10 and has VM class of service of 15 or 16 used for auto attendant. Operator phone is MLX-20. Is there a way to create a personal extension for the operator, have it ring on an unassigned button and have personal voicemail for this extension...
