I had different issues with my Netgear DG834Gv2 which resulted in it being returned from whence it came.
Basically it wouldn't allow SWMBO's laptop to associate with the WLAN element reliably. Netgear's response (after 53 days of daily contact) was to replace the laptop.....
Replaced with a...
No experience using it with a Nortel, but it's a generic SIP phone. Best configured using the application on the device since it seems the config doesn't travel well from the PC-based application.
# Launch the File Manager
# Go to "Menu" --> "Find"
# Check "Include Subfolders", "Include System...
Straightforward enough question.... I have a site that is happily using DECT (until now totally legally) but the government of that country has just told them that they must switch it off as it will interfere with a CDMAOne IS95A network running in the 1900MHz band.
Now I know that the DECT is...

I have a group of users on site that wish to do the following:
Take a call at their extension, and be able to put it on hold (park it) and then retrieve the parked call from another extension.
At this stage, I can park the call with no issue, and I can pick up a ringing (not yet answered)...
Has anyone else managed to get these to fly in harmony?
I've got omnidaemon working and serving the data.
However when I launch a URL like http://server/cgi-bin/alexserv.exe, it redirects to http://server/cgi-bin/alex (note lack of .exe) and gives a 404
If I add the .exe it then loads as I...
Pretty much all the DLT8000 are rebadged Quantum units - certainly the CPQ/HP ones are (if you dare to peel back the official Compaq/HP sticker of course)
I had that until I updeated to version 6.1 management agents - so I guess it's a function of version there. Try the current management agents (6.20A I think it is) and see if the issue persists.
Would you not be better doing this through LCR ?
If you first initiate a destination for local calls (8000) and another for national calls (8001) with those parameters but changing the TRC & SRT figures to 4 & 5
Then populate your LCR tables something like...
That sounds like it's most likely the operating system type in the BIOS is set incorrectly - it may be that the System ROM is old enough that your OS doesn't appear.... if so get the system flashed up to the current version (which is what CPQ/HP will tell you to do before they start to help you...
It doesn't have a case power interconnect does it ? ie. when the case is open the machine won't power up (unless of course you fool the interconnect switch into thinking the case is closed......
Building on patrickrouse's ideas - I actually scan regularly for files called
*.VIR (I don't want quarantined virus files on my server)
*.TMP (I don't want a pile of temporary files either, if I can't delete them it's because they're in use and I don't mind that so much)
If you have users...
Can you give us some more information to work with please ?
Basics required would be the processor type and speed, memory size, total disc size, disc space in use
Other helpful additions are network card speed & duplex settings, speed & duplex of port on local switch.
With the information...
No bigger risk than a drive failing as it's busy writing - the controller should handle it.
That said if you're really scared, do it at a low activity time (if there is one) far safer than repeatedly power cycling your server.
It certainly wouldn't harm to put a UPS on there - if nothing else it would extend your run time in the event of a power failure and if you're getting transient spikes as well as black or brown outs, it'll offer you protection against that too.
Is the power quality issue down to your actual...
I had a similar issue on both of my IM boxes - prod & backup - and when I investigated further it appears to be to do with the database filling up.
I reinstalled the backup box with a much larger SQL database and so far it's been much happier. Luckily for me I had a backup of the responsible...
