The user did have permission as I was the user and I am the network admin. I finally reached a real body at Corel and was informed that I would be unable to get it to work without purchasing a patch from them which I have ordered.

I can not get either version 5 or 9 of Paradox to work in XP Pro.
I get two error messages as follows:
1. Could not Initialize IDAPI
2. Unalbe to access network lock file
Don't find any help at Corel and Borland no longer seems to support Paradox.
