Paradox Problem w/ Win XP Pro

I can not get either version 5 or 9 of Paradox to work in XP Pro.

I get two error messages as follows:

1. Could not Initialize IDAPI

2. Unalbe to access network lock file

Don't find any help at Corel and Borland no longer seems to support Paradox.

Need Help.

You might want to post this in the Corel: Paradox forum. Have you checked the user permissions on the directories involved? When I was testing some Paradox applications on XP, the userid did not have permission to create a file in the PRIV directory.

Yes,

The user did have permission as I was the user and I am the network admin. I finally reached a real body at Corel and was informed that I would be unable to get it to work without purchasing a patch from them which I have ordered.
