Thanks for answering. That was the first thing I tried. Tried a couple regsvr commands too. Also updated to IE 7 and pointed the browser at the .chm files. Still no luck.
In any Office App (XP) "Help" works OK. If I go to the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11) the HTML Help page never loads. Sometimes it doesn't appear at all, or appears after another window closes--or maybe it popped-under?
Can I get my help back?
My first choice would be to have access to Office...
Can you change the DB? Add a table with "record ID" and count, then don't include the new table in the resynch, i.e., build a "Partial Replica."
I thought using a "Replication ID" as the field size for the count would work, but it doesn't.
On my Win XP Home machine I have "My Documents" mapped to the B: drive.
I'd like to do it on a Win 2K Pro machine, but I keep getting error # 53 or 67. "net view" shows the shared file that I want to map. However, the "net use" command fails as above.

"Converting" anything that is complicated to HTML is a very dicey proposition.
First try. Microsoft has "readers" for Excel files that work with browsers. Go to "support.microsoft.com" and look for Excel, then Downloads.
Second. Microsoft has an Excel template...
You could use a scratch table with an autonumber field. Clear the table, Append new data (not make table,) do a self-join.

My phone line ran from one end of the house to the main jack at the other. Then my modem cable ran back. Put a splitter where the line enters the house & ran a line to my computer.
End of noise problem.
