Thanks Tom, It looks like it was just a bad port causing the problem. I have never connected to the mail with hyper terminal. Do you just use a null modem cable?

Just put in a new ACS 5 system. It has large PC Card voicemail. I never want the AA to answer the phone. The place is open 24/7 and someone is always there. If I use #206 and make sure all lines and hunt groups are not setup for AA is that all I need to do?
