I do not want the AA to answer day or night until after 4 rings. I set #321 to 4 on all ext and #506 to 4 on both day and night for all lines. What else do I need to do?

Hi,
Did you assign ext 78 & 79 to hunt group 7 (#505)? You should remove ringing from ports 78 & 79 as well. Assign lines to hunt group 7 (#206). Take VMS cover back to 3 rings (#321) or extend transfer return (#105) to 5 rings. Hunt schedule (#507) should be set to always in your case.
I know some of these questions may sound basic to you, but we don't know where you are exactly. If you have done all of the above, you attendant should work fine. Be aware that you will hear one more ring when calling in than your system is set to answer on.

Thanks for the info, Would have betv the farm I had assigned 78 and 79 but had only done 78... lol

I have another question. Our facility is open 24/7. At night there is no Receptionist, if a call gets missed on the floor, and the caller does not know the extension they want to call. The caller will get xfered to the Receptionist phone then her voice mail. How can I make the xfer(night only) to a different extension?

You could put an external bell or Strobe on the floor and when she leaves for the night forward her calls to that extension. or perhaps put in a prompt into the Auto Attendant that says "for the production floor during off hours press..." When the bell rings someone better answer.

Jeep, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll run those solutions by the Administrator for that facility..

Hi goingcrazy101,
A better way may be to assign the night bell / strobe to the night service group (#504). You can include as many extensions as you want in this group. These extensions will only ring when the system is in night mode. You could also extend the number of rings at night since there is no receptionist.
