button 1 says "SysAcc Ring -I"
button 2 says "SysAcc Voice -I"
button 3 says "SysAcc-00 Ring"
button 4 says "line 803 -I"
This is what properly working extensions as well say as well.
ugh.. now I am worse off.
Ok, so following bobsou's advice, I tried to assign lines/pools to the phone. I felt this should not be nessasary, becuase when I inspect the buttons 1-4 they say the exact same thing as a properly working extension does. Also, when i go to the command center phone...
oh, and bobsou,
I could not exit the #00 mode at the time by simply hanging up becuase the extension was not responding to hanging up the extension - on hook or off hook, with out programing the auto line selection, uncradling or cradling the handset didn't *do* anything unless you manually...
Ah.. some progress.
I was able to exit the #00 mode by just unplugging the phone and then replugging it in.
I then when back in and followed this advice from franke:
"You will need to reset the 'AutoLineSelection';
Feature *14 > select buttons in order you want (i.e. SA-R > SA-V > SA-O)...
Franke -
I am having issues entering the feature code you have suggested. Here's what happens... I enter feature, then '*', when i try to enter the next character, the entension beep (negatively) at me, and appears to cancel the feature entry. Any other ideas?
I've really managed to screw up an extension on my Merlin System, and I can seem to restore it's functionality.
On our working extensions (we have a number of 4406D+'s) when you pick up a handset, it automatically selects line 1 or 2, you get a tone, you can then dial an extention, dial 9 to...
Success!! Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. I got 803 to show up on button 4 on 2 entensions now, so I think I have the hang of it. The procedure I followed on the 4424LD+ was:
Entensions->Lines/Trunks->Dial ext no. ->Enter->Entry Mode-> Dial line/Trunch no. -> Enter ->...
I clearly have a different type of extention than you are describing - there is no fourth button up. Our extentions look like this
http://www.merlinmagix.com/images/4406DPlus.jpg
The 3 buttons along the top are (Conf | Transfr | Redial )
the 6 buttons below that are labeled (in the order they...
"Your system is set up like a key system, so assign line 803 to as many phones as you wish:
When I follow the menu system as you described above, I get to the point where I type in my extension number. But after that, I have no idea *HOW* to add this extenion to 803 (it is not clear from...
Xemus, XPisfree
You were both on the right track. tha machine was indeed having issues joining the domain.
Unfortunately, after unjoining the domain, and attempting to clear the the machine af anything related to the network (ipconfig /flushdns , ntbstat -r -R -RR) when I tried to rejoin the...
Our companies IS guy left a few weeks ago, and we do appear to be getting a new one soon, so I am functioning as the IS person until then.
I have a strange problem.
THE SETUP:
a win2K network, with win2K and winXPPro clients. Users are handled by the Domain. We have active directory.
THE...
Well, I have made some progress...
After a bit of rooting around, I determined that 803 and 804 were no longer active.
I plugged the VoIP line into 803. When I select the line key "803" (a special key that someone has wrote '803' on) on the command center phone, I get the VoIP line...
Thanks for the response...
excuse my ignorance, but I have a few followup q's
Q1
a]Physically, *where* do I plug the VoIP line into the Magix?
b] How do I assign it to a pool (895 or any)?
c] Followup: should I specifically *not* assign this to pool 70? How about if I want it to come up with...
I have a Merlin Magix from Lucent. the box is set up like this:
Slot pre-1, labeled Processor w/ CKE5
(from top to bottom)
- Single digit (0-9) LED display, unlit
- 1 pcmcia style slot w/ card, unlabeled
- 1 phone jack style input, empty, labeled SMDR
- 1 phone jack style input, empty, labeled...
Yes, the voicemail is integrated into the Merlin system.
Excuse my ignorance, but exactly how how do I 'login to the admin mailbox (9997)'? 9997 is not a valid extension/mailbox number (on my system) so I take that there is some other way to login that I am not aware of.
Thanks.
It appears that all the extensions on the system display the correct date and time on their digital displays.
But the integrated voicemail system has the incorrect date and time. I'd like to get this VM clock set correctly.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
