There is a little program called REMAPKEY.EXE that comes with the Resource Kit that will allow you to map that key into oblivion. :) You could probably map it to be another ALT key, that shouldn't do much with an accidental press. :)
Actually, there is a WIN.INI in W2K, it's in the WINNT directory. It's principal use is for compabibility with old programs that don't put stuff into the registry, but it is there, and it is used.
I've installed it on two machines, and now I'm letting it "age" for a couple of months. No issues yet. OTOH, I installed SP1 for IE6 on a couple of machines, that one is a loser! I had to back it off, graphics would randomly not display on many web pages.
