Hi I am trying to intall Windows 2000 Professional or Server on a fully compatable computer which freezes half way through Installing Devices, is there any way that I can find out what is causing the freeze. The basic system is Asus motherboard with onboard scsi card and 2 scsi hard drives all other options onboard as well.

I'd start by removing any hardware you don't need to do a basic install, return the BIOS to default settings, and see if you can get past the hang.

Try looking at the SETUPLOG.TXT file. See what the last entry is.

You can also try looking at the DETLOG.TXT file to see if there is anything suspicious there.
