I cannot uninstall Citrix. This server is the DataStore server. I did not have a scractched CD. Citrix has been running fine, and still is. THis message just came out of nowhere and I want to make it stop popping up at login / restart.
I don't want to try and reinstall Citrix if I don't...
For some reason, when I log one of my servers in, it has started a Windows installer for an application that is already installed (Citrix). I don't know why because I have made no changes to this server and no one accesses it except for printing. I install the CD like it asks for, but it then...
I do have a dedicated DS server that is also the Print Server, but is not running any published apps.
I wish I could find somehting from Citrix that stated what the max servers in a farm was before needing to switch to SQL.
Will switching to SQL increase logon and logoff times?
At what point should I consider converting to a SQL backend for the Data Store?
In my Citrix class, the instructor said I didn't need to worry about it till I got close to 100 servers in the farm. Is that true?
Also, what benefits would I see using a SQL backend vs. the Access Database that...
Thanks. I actually decided against load balancing the apps and am just trying th Default Load Evaluators on the servers. So far it seems good, although I still get daily complaints of users stating their session "hangs" for 30 - 60 seconds at various points throughout the day, then...
Ok, I changed the Servers back to Default. I never had Desktop or any other published apps set with any load balancing. I will try using the Default Evaluator on the Desktop Published app as well and see if it gains me anything.
Thanks.
So, you are saying if I have 5 servers running Desktop that are all fairly similar in hardware specs, I not only should have the load evaluators turned on for them, but should have the load evaluators running the Desktop application as well?
And...if I turn on the load evaluator for Desktop, it...
Great, thanks. When I read about applying the load evaluators to applications, I thought I had a major oversight. I have all the servers set with the Advanced Load Evaluator.
I'm not sure why some users get the latency sometimes, but I guess there isn't much I can do until I add more servers...
I'm actually not having any problems, I just want to make sure I have my load evaluators set correctly. I currently am using the Advanced ones. Is that the best to use or is there a better configuration.
Also, I have only set the load evaluators on the servers, not on any applications. Do I...
Well, I would like some concrete info, if at all possible.
I have 8 servers, all with 2GB RAM. 2 servers are dual 1GHZ, the rest are dual Xeon 2GHZ or higher.
I am running advanced Load Evaluators on all the servers now.
So, even though I have my load evaluators set for each server to Advanced, I still have to load manage each application that I run??
Right now I have 8 servers in the farm. I highlight the server in the CMC, righ click on it, choose Load Manage Server, then set the Load Evaluator to Advanced...
Did you have a backup of the datastore databse? I had this happen in MetaFrame XPA. I renamed the current database adn restored a previous version of the database from backup. I then tried starting the service and it started. Been running fine ever since.
Is there a tool or a log file somewhere where I can see which users logged on and off throughout the day? I would like to see when a user logs on, then off, then back on again. This will help in looking into user complaints about being "kicked" from the system.
I know the CMC (Citrix...
I am using the built-in Advanced Load Evaluator. Is that the best to use, or should I configure a new one, and if so, what should the criteria be?
These servers currenly host about 160 concurrent sessions and I regularly get users complaining of screen latency. The server Load Monitor shows the...
Now, I have for sure found a solution to the roaming profile and 60 second logoff time problem. I have to thank members at www.asitis.org for helping find this solution (http://www.asitis.org/archives/000134.html).
I am running both SP3 and SP4 Windows 2000 servers in my Citrix Farm.
The...
