OK, I acquired a bunch of OPTIPOINT 500 Advance Phones in a lot auctions with other telecom equipment. I have the power supply for the phones. How can I verify that these phone work without the processing unit? Should the phones at least light up when plugged in? Thanks!!

Yes you can turn it off and on ( #613 then press contact number 1-2 then 4 to use the toggle option) but it can't be turned off and on via night or day mode you just have to program a button to turn it off and on. Hope this helps!

No Prob. look on the back of the 18D phone and you will see that that you have an aux jack, just run a base cord to the external ringer, if you can not plug into the ringer, cut off the mod end and use the tho center wires to wire it in. Hope this helps!
