Yes the narrative is in a subreport that is in a group header section.
Keep togethers within the subreport and on the subreport section are all unchecked.

We had that problem with a similar setup. Try checking both machines for p2xxxx.dll files. On our working machines there were 7 of them and on machines getting same error as you some were missing.
