help installing a nic card on NAM

Do you want to do this just to edit COS on the NAM? If so, simply upgrade to 4.1 and you can do this thru the telephones. It's simple and cheap to do if you are already at 4.0

Connection to a NAM via modem

On the NAM 1 (486 processor) you are not going to connect to edit COS with a NIC. I have not done COS editing on a NAM 1 but I have read how to connect to one. You will use a COM port opposite one from what the NAM3G uses for a direct serial connection. I'll try to get the information for...

Help! Norstar CICS and Flash 2

The Flash attaches to one station port. It usually is good form to make it the last ports available on the system but you don't have to. You said it was a Flash 2 and so since each Norstar port has two channels(b1 & b2) you have a Flash 2. But you are going to use up one and only one physical...

Anyone know how to upgrade a NAM?

PLEASE STOP. COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION. CALL SOMEONE FAMILIAR WITH NAMS LIVE WITH YOU AS YOU PROCEED. I'D HATE TO SEE YOU MAKE A COSTLY MISTAKE. IT SHOULD BE A RELATIVELY EASY MATTER TO GET YOU UP.

Help! Norstar CICS and Flash 2

Actually B. Krike may have the best idea for your situation. Having a Tech install and program it will save you in the long run. I was interested in the problem but the best advice probably is to follow what he said.

Help! Norstar CICS and Flash 2

I forgot to add this. After I re-read your components that you would need an additional LS/DS card (line card) for your 025. I thought you had it...sorry. The basic set up is still similar though.

Help! Norstar CICS and Flash 2

The CICS and Flash really shouldn't be set up that way! I'm suggesting that since this software is 4.1 and has Hunt Groups available to it we should use it. This is only my suggestion and you'll find that there are many cool ways to deal with your set up. And others will suggest them. My...

2 MICS units back to back using PRI

I thought that the following senario could be done but I may have been mistaken on one part. I do have an idea I'd like feedback on. Senario: Two MICS(unit A and B) units using PRI are connected Point to Point. Unit (A) also has PSTN connection and a NAM voicemail while Unit (B) has a Flash...
