Our 4.0 mail system is working BUT I can't get the keyboard to work. I'm trying to get in to check the TCPIP settings.
I've hooked-up a monitor and keyboard (Rebooted) and the screen comes up with 2 sections on it (Red & blue) with a message to press "Ctrl-Break" to stop thread. It won't work. I know that the keyboard works during the start-up because I can get into the Single-board computer setup and checked that "monitor-less" & "Keyboard-less" operation is "Disabled". Any Ideas ?
I also can't connect with a laptop thru TCPIP. The mail unit has a light that I think indicates a proper network connection (Blinks) and my PC has a lite on the Network card but I can't ping the mail system. I used "LanScan" to check for connections on the "network" , but it doesn't show anything but my PC.(I'm hooking-up direct to the Mail system with a cross-connect cable. The PC is Win2000 and the network shows sending packets, but not receiving.
I've booted the mail system from a Win95 disk and can see the OS2 files on the hard drive.
I've ALSO tried hooking-up to the "B" Serial port with no success...
I'm not real good with OS2 but have done some. Ctrl-Tab, Alt-Enter, Ctrl-Enter don't do anything either from the keyboard only Ctrl-Alt-Delete reboots.

Any Ideas out there ???
TIA

You need to add the monitor package under the ACCESS SERVER, F915. The password is SVGANEEDED. Then the GUI should come up.

Thanks... SVGANEEDED got the Monitor and keyboard working. NEXT PROBLEM is the Network interface / Serial connection. The Voicemail has the single board computer with (I Assume) a network jack. I ran the TCPCFG command from the C> prompt and the IP was set to the "Standard setting". I went into MPTS and only see a interface with something like "MAC IBM " something...something. From the keyboard I can ping the address of the Voice mail system but not the PC that I connected to the network port. (The PC won't ping the Voice Mail system). I looked at the rest of the settings, but don't know what they should be.
