Hi -
Looks to me like you're listing a column named
"RES_FILE FILLER" of type CHAR.
You can't have a column name with a space in it in Oracle.
Hope that helps,

Additionally -
TNS_ADMIN is a registry key that is located under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
--Software
--Oracle
--HOME0 (that's a zero).
This entry is an absolute path that points to a copy of
a tnsnames.ora file. This makes for editing 1 file instead of having to change all the client...
just a thought....
check the connect string that OEM is using to connect to the db versus the connect string you are using in DBAStudio.
Or, if I understand correctly, try using the IP address for the node (instead of the name) in the TNSNAMES.ora entry.
hope that helps,
-Maxx
try this
SELECT
SUM(Payment.LEDGER_GROSS),
SUM(Payment.LEDGER_NET),
SUM(Payment.Ledger_Gross - Payment.Ledger_Net),
MAX(Payment.Doc_Date)
Payment.(_GROSS or _NET)
FROM Payment
WHERE Payment.Doc_Date = MAX(Payment.Doc_Date)

I think that OEM says that it can do this, but have never used it.
We use a script to perform hot back-ups 6 nights of the week, and a different script to do a cold back-up once a week.
If your databases are on a UNIX server, you can go to lazydba.com and look around for hot/cold backup...
It sounds to me like the database is not running.
Did the machine get shutdown/rebooted? Are the Oracle services running? (Microsoft environment)
What environment is the database in?
Did you set your local environment for the right ORACLE_SID?

Sorry, SAM is in HP-UX.........
The Solaris equiv is the Admintool ....
right click on the open desktop(just anywhere out in the field) of the CDE, this will give you a drill down menu, and just look for Admintool......or you can open a terminal and type 'admintool &'.
Or, you can do all this...
I would create a userid for each DBA and make them all members of the 'dba' group, or whatever group is oracle's primariy group.
Although at this point they could su - oracle: but why?
They should have the same privs so no need to 'su' unless they wanted the anonimity, and you could monitor...
