Problems with OEM

Hi there
here is my problem...
With OEM I've discovered a node that it's in my workgroup but it has also an real IP
so OEM found my database and put it in the tree where the databases are
but then when I try to connect to it an error occurs

ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

The strange thing is that I have no problem connecting to the database with the DBA studio
any Idea how to fix this

just a thought....

check the connect string that OEM is using to connect to the db versus the connect string you are using in DBAStudio.

Or, if I understand correctly, try using the IP address for the node (instead of the name) in the TNSNAMES.ora entry.
