    I don't know, but the first thing I would try is to enable PWS on the client computer. It's worth a try. I use a router instead of a plain hub.

    You may want to go to the MS site and download evaluation software first, to check to see if your machine and your assorted software will work with XP. Some things don't play nice with XP and some software firms are not updating all of their products for XP, e.g. Polaroid, Studio PCTV, Umax...

    XP can't connect at 100mb, 10mb works fine.

    You may need a router instead of a switch. That's what I found out on my home network with WXP Pro and Home. Tom Trevathan

    Hit print screen key, go to Ms Word or equivalent, hit paste. Print screen just copies screen to clipboard, program you want to use to see must be capable of receiving graphic images. Tom Trevathan

    Modem in Windows XP

    I presume the modem is not usb connected. If this is the case, XP c annot detect it if it is not on when XP boots up. The only solution I know of is to start the modem before you start your computer -- or simply leave the modem on. Tom Trevathan
