If you want to do it correctly, get with your local 911 administrator. Caller ID has nothing to do with 911. When a phone calls 911 and the PSAP (911 Center) answers, there is a tone sent to one of the 911 servers in the US, which replies to the PSAP and populates the calltakers position with...
I can only address OTM, I haven't seen TM.
OTM has a directory that you can edit. But when everything is correct and reconciled, you have to schedule a task and once it uploads to your switch, your phones should reflect the update.
I changed ACAA to yes. That's in the right direction. If the calltaker is aware of calls waiting, they can go on hold and start receiving calls. That's an improvement, but I'd still like the calltaker to receive calls while on a personal DN.
I am using Symposium Express, so it's pretty basic and Wizard Driven. There aren't many options available. I'll probably have to get with Nortel.
Thanks
You are right, that's exactly opposite of my problem. Also, AST (associated Set) is not populated in any prompts of any Loads it appears in. I'm back to square 1.
ACD set shows busy when on personal DN and won't receive ACD calls. I have a CS1000 and a Symposium Express. Using M3904's. Can't I have personal DN active and still receive ACD calls?
I've inherited a 824 Panasonic Model 42050 with no documentation. One of the users somehow invoked the DND/CF
feature. Lines no longer ring at that set. Any one know the Do not Disturb cancel code?
Thanks,
Before PRI, the only way to get call information on a T1 was with a external special circuit from the C.O. to your PBX (very expensive.)
With ISDN, all that call information, including the call setup information is handled by the D channel. By the way, Caller ID is sent over an analog line...
Acculinc is just a product name for their version of PRI. Primary Rate Interface is a standard. Most Telco's and Carriers call their version of PRI by a catchy name.
CDP only tells your switch where to send a call. Incoming call info will tell your meridian mail who's mailbox the call is...
In your "CAll Presentation" script you can program a break after finishing a call. For instance, my agents have 30 seconds after they release a call, before they are presented another call. This allows them to finish any paperwork. You can program any length of time.
There is a product called EDAC. It is a device you put in the phone closet. You loop your digital port through it via a 66 block. On the same 66 block you have access to a matching analog port that you attach to a recorder. It was made by DTI who was bought out by MCK who was bought out by...
