    Thank you both for your remarks. All of this makes sense but there is still a problem. Perhaps there is no magic button to press to fix this. It looks like corruption to me but I am definitely not an expert in this arena. I'm going to call for support and hope that they can help. Regards, BH

    Owa User access problem

    I am having the same problem. The one thing that I have noticed is that the people who are having the problem have account names that are similar i.e. Robert Jones and Roberta Watson, Christina Porter and Christina James. So far, we have not been able to resolve it.

    outlook clients say exhcange is busy / not responding

    I had this same problem at one location in another state. I gave the users at that location an LMHOST file containing the exchange server's IP address and name. That corrected the problem. Hope this helps.

    Try this: Go to the "Connections" object for your site. Open "Internet Mail Service" then, click on the "General" tab and modify the message size limit. Take care not to make it too large as it can "choak" your message delivery queue. Wishing you the best!

    Unable to do brick level backup

    I had this same problem today with Arcserve 2000 trying to back up Exchange 5.5 bricks level. I did have to separte the jobs. Then it was incomplete. Most mailboxes were not backed up except for calendars. I keep getting "E8602" Failed to read from database. I can't seem to find out...
