i'm asking.. you said in your first response that the ip and subnet neet to match the NAM and the net.. i assumed that you meant that the ip address for the NAM had to be on the same subnet as the ip address of the connecting NVM manager software computer.. which means that there would be no...
so there's no way to use the software to connect to a remote install? (without installing it on a local machine, then using vnc or something to that local machine, then running NVM manager on that local machine)?
thanks
does the voicemail manager software (v 3 or v 4) require that you be on the same subnet as the voicemail system that you are managing? i can connect fine when i'm in the office.. out of the office, i can ping the NAM, but can't connect with the NVM manager software...
... or, does it connect...
unfortunately, i don't have any spare cards to test with. my vendor seems to have a good warranty.. so, i've contacted him to try and do some more troubleshooting..
i feel that i've pretty much exausted the programming aspect of this.. like i said, caller id used to work... nothing has...
not getting caller id ever... it used to work.. no problem. i've verified that caller id data is being sent from the phone company. the system just doesn't seem to be receiving it and passing it around..
feature 811 doesn't work. it only shows me the line that the call came in on, before...
i don't know how to do that... specifically. many of the posts that refer to that here, have different systems than mine.. however, the system does log events, etc..
i definitely didn't do that during the previous install, and it worked... though, if it was set up, and the logs filled up...
help...please.. i've scoured this board, i've reset my system and reprogrammed from scratch... still can't fix this.
i have a new cics 6.1 with a call pilot 150.. installed for about 5 or 6 months. at the outset, all was fine.. caller id was working, being passed as calls were transferred...
i've read numerous posts about inconsistent performance with outbound call forwarding from vmail with this set up. i've read that the 4.04e software update fixes this (?). though, i don't really have full confidence in what i need to do. my hardware provider doesn't have the answer.. and has...
that did the trick.. (i had some 300 range DNs on the system). i changed those out and was able to set up all the codes.
excellent!! now it's practically invisible to my users.
thanks very much!
seems logical. and a very insightful way of solving the problem. i tested it out, but my system only allows me to input 2 digits for a destination code. but it's odd. there is another cursor line...like it's waiting for a third digit.
i don't seem to have the option to save even a 2 digit...
this is sort of convoluted, but is it possible? it would be extremely convenient...
i have 2 offices. LA and NY. the NY office JUST got a new norstar system (MICS 5.0, NAM 4.0, PRI with DID). same as LA (except LA doesn't have the PRI, yet).
the LA office DNs are in the 300s and the NY...
That did the trick! thank you very much. your reputation preceedes you!
i also have a problem re: the MICS 5.0 and NAM 4.0.04a with PRI lines not going to voicemail, but to AA instead. i read a couple of other posts from you re: a patch to NAM 4.0.04c to fix that.
I emailed you a couple of...
help. i've done this before, but can't get it figured out again.
MICS 5.0, NAM 4.0.04a, PRI, DIDs
1 reception phone, 24 others.
what i want:
1. normal ring (night service off): main number (first DID) rings at reception phone. each individual DID rings at appropriate DNs. (this works)
2...
thanks for all the feedback. i know my way around the system fairly well.. and i know that kxanthos' needs were different than mine. i was running into a problem where people were complaining that if a call came in on the target line (a did number) and dnd was enabled, the call wouldn't go to...
this is similar to what i'd like to do. i have DID's and target lines set up. each phone has 2 line appearances. so, if i'm on a call, i can see that i'm getting another and choose to ignore it or place the first call on hold, etc.
my problem is that if DND is on, and i don't answer the...
