help. i've done this before, but can't get it figured out again.

MICS 5.0, NAM 4.0.04a, PRI, DIDs

1 reception phone, 24 others.

what i want:
1. normal ring (night service off): main number (first DID) rings at reception phone. each individual DID rings at appropriate DNs. (this works)

2. night ring (night service on): main number (first DID) goes directly to AA...does not ring at reception phone. each individual DID rings at appropriate DNs. (this doesn't work)

i have the first DID and it's corresponding target line in a separate group from the others. what i can't get is how to make the first DID (target line 145) go to AA immediately when night service is on. right now, night service doesn't appear to do anything.

i've found numerous posts somewhat related to this, but not directly.
thanks,
aasun

Under Services, Ringing Services, Ringing Group. Remove ext 221 from the group, then add the first port of your voice mail.

Then Header back out to Ringing Services, then Next to Common settings, Control sets, For Lines, Show Line: Enter in the target line for the main DID. 145 Show it. It will say L145:221. Meaning that extension 221 has the power to turn services on and off for this line. Change it if necessary to the ext you want to turn night service on. Press Next and go on to the other Target lines for the other DIDs. You will need to change the control set for these DIDs to be something else. I usually change it to be the extension that the DID is assigned to.

That should do it for you. Try it and let us know.... MRoberts

That did the trick! thank you very much. your reputation preceedes you!

i also have a problem re: the MICS 5.0 and NAM 4.0.04a with PRI lines not going to voicemail, but to AA instead. i read a couple of other posts from you re: a patch to NAM 4.0.04c to fix that.

I emailed you a couple of days ago re: getting that from you...if you still have it. can you provide that?

thanks a million!

Thank you!
Yes, I just responded to your email. I'm sorry our email server has been down the last few days. You should have the patch with the instructions on how to use it.

Happy Thanksgiving! [turkey]
