Might I suggest that you turn Diagnostic logging on for the IMS SMTP services, this will normally give you more information than the information in the IMC Queue.
this depends on your Outlook version, you need to go to the "delivery options" and select mail to be delivered directly to your Personal Folder. This can be cound normally in the Outlook Profile>Delivery Options
Exchange Server 5.5 actually controls this; your "default" reply address is what people see when they view the actual email address. To view this check the email address tab for the mailbox in question. The only way I know of accomplishing this is either creating multiple mailboxes...
This sounds like an xlate issue, you may need to reduce the time-out for xlate. To view the xlate table type sho xlate which will show you if the pix is mapping the internal IP to a routable IP in the Global list.
To verify this is the problem, next time this happens type clear xlate then try...
Sharepoint by default uses NTLM so it will not prompt you for a username and password once authenticated. You can use the Directory Security option in Internet Service Manager to use clear text with SSL if you really want to have it pop up this should be suffecient.

You may want to check what limits you have set on outgoing messages. When you send outside the org. you loose single instance storage. Try to increase your outgoing limits.
I assume he is connecting using some sort of VPN so what he needs to do is log onto his local machine, CTRL ALT Delete and Change password, this will synch. the network and local logon and will also get rid of this message.
You should just turn on logging for the public folders to medium and you will be able to see this activity. Also to recover these items just point to the All Company Folders and select recover deleted items.
