Not sure if this is the right forum but i hope so.... OK we got our LAN working fine, just one small problem. We have Norton Personal Firewall 2002 on the gateway computer and the 2nd computer works fine,internet,online games, etc.But the 2nd computer cannot search on Google unless the firewall...

ok we have solved it. theres a mains fault on 1 wall socket, strange thing is you can run anything from it but if you try to connect the 2 computers with one using this socket then bang it knocks the mains off. Thks for the advice anyway.

Hi, I have a 80GB drive that has no partitions...there is only 12GB of free space... i now need to reload XP..how can i partition this drive with Partition Magic so that C: becomes a empty 10GB partition on which i can install XP only and leave my other data on D:(70GB partition)??

ok i've tried something else i can browse cds ok.....and if i copy the cd contents to my harddrive i can install ok.....but the minute i try to install from the CD it says 'cannot load xxxx.bmp' !!!!

ok when you autorun a cd like a game you get the install picture screen come up with install etc..... i just get a blank white rectangle with no image....hence 'cannot load xxx.bmp'
