I've just ran into a WinNT server running terminal services and it looks like someone chose a wrong video sync setting and so the whole screen is out-of-sync (and all I see is fast moving horizontal lines).
I need to know how to start up in some type of mode where I can either disable the video...
I'm helping out a company, they have Appleshare IP Severs v. 6.3. I've just upgraded a client to Windows 2000 Pro, but now Microsoft Excel cannot open any files on the Server.
Here is the message I get:

Microsoft Excel cannot open or save any more documents because there...
Hmmm....I guess I'll do SP2, then do the registry stuff.
There is a firewall on the server side, in this situation. But no proxy server on the off-site, where I'm trying to get in from.
It's a wonder why my MAC has no problems getting to the OWA interface, but the PCs do...
I'll keep you...
I think I have everything set up right. but the scenario is that I can get OWA to work inside the network (on a PC) and outside the network (on a Macintosh).
But when I try the same login info on a PC OUTSIDE the network, I get the "Page Cannot Be Displayed" Error Page. Note: I've...
Yes, the network does have the same domain. I'm not sure how to do a Manual host record on the DNS. But I'll try and read up on it with your pointers and see what I can come up with.
Thanks, any other advice is greatly appreciated.

I have just set up a company with my first W2K and E2K machine. It is a small firm and I have run into a small problem with DNS.
I cannot get them to see their own web site. Their site is hosted by an outside company. But when they're inside the network it cannot resolve the domain name.

Hey all,
A friend's Outlook is acting strange and I'm trying to troubleshoot from afar. She is on Windows XP Pro and she uses Office and Outlook XP.
When she gets attachments from some Macintosh Users the attachements are not showing up as the "papercliped" version. But if she goes to...
Carrr,
I think this is the issue. I just spoke to him about him getting an e-greeting virus. I'll forward on the links to him.
He's out of town this weekend, but I'll update this post on the results.
thank you,

A friend has called with a problem that I have not yet run into. He has described to me that when he minimizes programs, they don't appear in his taskbar.
Then the only way to restore the minimized windows is to press the "ALT-TAB" combination and select the window he wants.

I have a problem with my public folders being accessed through OWA. I see the top level of the folders, but when I click on them, they do not come up.
The error is: HTTP/1.1 404 Object Not Found
Any suggestions?
Not sure of the error code, there doesn't seem to be one on the main screen. I'll look in the Event Manager. But the Login Screen gives me three boxes:
Name:
Password:
Domain:
I thought it should only give me two:
Name:
Password:
Is that correct.
I did apply both SP2 and SP3. I get the login box 3 times and then it gives me a Error: Access Denied screen (both inside and outside the network). I haven't looked at the Event log yet...
I don't know how to verify that the Virtual Directory is correct.
