I was recently hit with some NIMDA virus' and it corrupted the OWA default web pages. This has knocked out my ability to access E2K through OWA.

How can I reinstall or recover just those parts? (just a note: the backup copy of the files were also corrupt.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you try running reinstall of Exchange 2000? Then Apply Service Pack. Dan

Will reinstallationn trash my settings for users, mailboxes and public folders? Users information is working, it's just OWA isn't working anymore.

That's the main reason I haven't tried reinstallation.

Reinstall just copies back the binaries and other Exchange running specific stuff. It doesn't touch user info or the stores. Then the service pack gets the binaries back up to the newest version. Dan

Thank you Xybertron. I'll try this and see if it works.

I've done this "Reinstallation" but I cannot get the OWA to load. When I'm inside the network, I cannot see things either. Any suggestions?

Did you apply Exchange Service Pack after reinstall?

Do you get an error in OWA? Dan

I did apply both SP2 and SP3. I get the login box 3 times and then it gives me a Error: Access Denied screen (both inside and outside the network). I haven't looked at the Event log yet...

I don't know how to verify that the Virtual Directory is correct.

What is the error? 401 or 503?

Is the login screen two boxes or three? Dan

Not sure of the error code, there doesn't seem to be one on the main screen. I'll look in the Event Manager. But the Login Screen gives me three boxes:

Name:
Password:
Domain:

I thought it should only give me two:

Name:
Password:

Is that correct.

You should get an error! Your saying the screen is blank? Dan

I get the same error when trying to access OWA. My email screen becomes blank and its a 401 error. Not sure how to correct this. All I know is that I log in using my user name and password. OWA loads up as well as the tool bars but no email. They middle screen which displays email is blank. In the firewall it shows a 401 error. Anybody know whats the deal with that? My email address is: matthewreed3@aol.com

Thanks
