When we run in to that we have to change the default template to one that matches the resolution, then go through and adjust the button size / layout. For the most part it's not a bad process as long as the screens are using SLU - fo the hardcoded screens like a bartender speed screen it can be...
Anyone know offhand if the server and WS talk via UDP or what they use for Cal and DB updates?
Side question: anyone connect a WS to a Server over a tunnel? If so anything to be aware of in advance to setting up a lab?

For some reason I'm only able to install one update from the windows update site at a time. After I install that one singular update, I have to reboot or else update.exe causes an error. Has anyone else ever seen anything like this?

Sounds like you're looking for something like this:

Just google for bluetooth access points and they'll pop up for you.

We got some nice and Perrrty WIN2K Pro, Xeon systems in and I'm having the same problem on all of them. Any session using telnet, exceed, or any other teminal type program times out after a certain amout of time. I can't seem to find the setting for this. Basically we need to keep these sessions...
Hi,
Does anyone know of anyplace to find any detailed setup information or setup guides? It appears that whoever used to deal with our CE has one way or another left or company, leaving me with the cdrom and a server... of course with nothing installed but w2k-as.
Thanks ahead of time! Jarod...
Still there to this day, I'm pretty sure, but since that we have put it on a network and it's happy. It pretty much assumes that the page you're trying to reach is through a network, which I guess for the most part would be true, with a few exceptions. Jarod, The Lab Guy

Norton Ghost works well (assuming you have a cd-r). Just be aware that it isn't really a point and click your way through type program. Jarod, The Lab Guy

Is non-working one having some sort of resource conflict with another device? And along the same lines, check the card for any jumper settings. Jarod, The Lab Guy

some cd players just plain can't read the RW's. That's why when you go to the store (yeah right... look it up online) they will list what a player will recognize. Jarod, The Lab Guy

You do have to realise that most companies are in the process of massive "restructuring," and not just in IT. I have many friends and family that either had to retire a little earlier than planned, or just recieved a hefty shake of the hand and a parting gift. Times are hard for...
Yes, it sounds like you're missing a driver.
Try running Windows update, it might just be the easiest way to find the drivers if you don't know what driver's it needs.

I've seen this even on 2k Advanced Server using MS's IIS. It's not specific to your 3rd party web server, that much I can tell you! Jarod, The Lab Guy

I really don't think they have a demo. When you actually order it they send it with their "own" version of win2k that has been supposedly modified to better suit their needs. They claim that it won't work an a standard 2k Server. Jarod, The Lab Guy

all this from a 19 year old??? No offence meant, but it seems like you're a little too green to judge the entire industry. Hell, I've been in it for over 5 years, and I consider myself too green.
This industry IS easy money... easy in the way that there are a lot of us that do love what we do...
Strange.
Did you do the install yoursself? and if so did you alter from the default install, possibly leaving something out of the install? Jarod, The Lab Guy

now days with the 7200 drives I don't generally notice a difference, partitioned or not. Now if a drive is heavily fragmented you might run slower than normal. Jarod, The Lab Guy
