Event ID:7000 - Service Control Manager

Gee fellas, me too! I get the same error once a day in the SYstem Event messages and it says the source is the Service Control Manager. But I do not have any tape drives, but Jaz, Zip and even a digital camera FLASH drive...none of which are used very much. Anyone know how to help with this? Jim

Software for Bulding Stand-alone Access Applications ???

Using VB is better? I'd have to agree. We've found that the marketing of apps, specifically built in VB6 or VB.NET that base all dbase work on Access is a great way to provide a low-cost app to potential clients. While our apps are mostly b2b, we do also have some out there to retail customers...

    asp/VBScript in IIS

For IIS to be able to "serve" ASP pages on your own workstation, it must be told which folder to treat as it's home directory. Go to the console, hilite the Default Web Site under the IIS Services, click on the Home Directory tab, and make sure that you are using C:inetput/wwwroot...

    asp/VBScript in IIS

Hm... For the IIS server to work, you must identify what folder it works "on"...ussually C:/inetput/wwwroot If the file above is in that folder AND IIS is running (do a console check to confirm that) then you should be able to see that asp page...ie it will 'work!' Do you use an...

    MCAD/MCSD - Worth it?

For us, with 3 of us having our MCSD certs, we find that it allows us to take the "high" road when it comes to both client pitches and proposals too. Works for us here in the Toronto area....and I can offer the old adage "no one ever got fired for buying IBM!" as a means to...

MCSE's giving MCSD a bad name

Sorry...yes 70-091 was the one I was talking about. And also as the thread seemed to wander somewhat, I didn't think that I was outta line in asking. It's VERY hard to find MCSD folks who talk on forums -- at least I've only found two such forums...this one and the one at examnotes.net. Anyone...

MCSE's giving MCSD a bad name

Okay...so no way to get any second-hand Transcenders. If I buy NEW, which do I want? I'm planning on taking the 70-175, 70-176, 70-100 and mostl likely 70-092 exams... Do they have a "package" for that selection too? Jim

MCSE's giving MCSD a bad name

Okie-dokie.... So, I've heard many of you mention here and on other forums about these Transcender practice exams. So, is there any chance that some of you who've say passed 70-176 or 70-175 might consider now selling your Transcender exams? I'd like to buy them to look them over, but if I...

MCSE's giving MCSD a bad name

Hello all... Wondering about the rationale in attending a bootcamp for my MCSD... Counsel on this one guys? Good/Bad? Which schools DO teach and train? Any ideas on what kind of learning one gets overall? Jim Rudnick www.kkti.com jrudnick@kkti.com
