Yes I installed rj11 plug directly on the cable leading to a station card and probably got it on wrong pins inside the jack. I can’t think of anything else. If changing polarity doesn’t hurt a phone something else did

I think Adtran makes dual WAN SBC capable of switching between ISPs. We looked into it few years ago. But instead of trying to add redundancy to sip connectivity, we added PRI through different ISP. Your approach will not protect you from outages on sip side
