Not really. I had to just abandon it as that phone had to be moved (M7324 phone went bad; Feature * 0 no longer worked & ladies told me at first the caller could not hear them when they answered the phone and they had to increase the phone volume so the caller could hear them!?! Then later they...
Sorry, you are correct as always... I'm always in too much of a hurry I suppose and get it jumbled up. In my mind I just simplify it for myself as being port 44 which is easier to remember than port 124...
Sorry. Belated but the info is below.
When I ran port info it said port P109 was dn44 and port P124 was dn 29, which still puzzles me as I ran the wire to, what I'd swore, was port 44 myself; oh well- I just, at that time, changed dn 44 to 29 so they'd match as P109 as 29 and P124 as 44...
We've had power outages here that lasted over 14 hours and she still booted up and remembered everything fine (so far-knock on wood) [thumbsup2] [lol]
Edit: Rebooting her didn't help my funky problem- port 44 is still 29. I'll have to investigate further later when I have more time... [banghead]
I'll try unplugging the phone system for about 15 seconds and see if that helps anything. I'll do it Saturday when the company is closed of course so I don't get flogged. [hairpull] [flame] [hammer]
>Your system is from when? 1988? so it B OLD, cranky and forgetful!
Like us... LOL [bigsmile]
>No such thing as moving a phone from a DN, you moved a phone from one port to another.
Sorry, that is correct. I moved it from the phone jack on port 44 to the phone jack on port 41, then back again...
Meridian Northern Telecom M8X24-DS
I suddenly had a phone (port) change it's dn number by itself. "Set relocation" is "N". I did not change wiring or change the internal dn # so I'm confused as to why it changed itself.
I used phone 44 for testing- moved phone 44 from dn 44 (on wiring location...
Ok, I finally got time to check it out. I missed the rings for AA and AA *was* kicking in and picking up the call.
New problem I have and am overlooking the setting:
The ladies now say when they transfer someone to another dn to leave a personal voicemail message for that person (as that person...
I went to each ringing dn's settings and found nothing wrong. As I said before, they (ones that have their own voicemail set up- others have no FNA setting as they aren't even enabled) are set to ring 10 times, whereas the associated ringing dn's FNA is set to 3 and if I change it to anything...
hmmm.... Sorry, but where can I find the list of ringing sets?
I know these dn's are set to ring (during business hours): 21, 22, 24, 26, 38
Night mode rings different sets... (21,22,24,26,28,33,38)
but under "evening" and "lunch" modes there is only "21" listed. If I've seen that list I don't...
Yes, General_Delivery is associated to extension 22.
Extension 22's CFNA is set to forward to 39 after3 rings. When I change that 3 to a higher number it suddenly changes the outgoing message played from the current message (woman's voice) to the previous admin's General Delivery-type of message...
Have an M8X24-DS with Norstar Flash.
Trying to figure out how to increase the number of rings before General Delivery answers from 3 to 6 (when no one answers the phone and General Delivery picks up). Changed DRT delay from 3 to 6 (no change). Then also tried changing dn #22's (have in my notes...
I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but figured I'd ask anyways...
This year we've had two phones suddenly stop ringing. No changes in programming and they rang fine before. Swapped out the phone and the replacement rings fine.
Adjusting the ring volume does nothing (when another user on...
Um, you lost me on the Saturday Night Live joke? [ponder] I don't watch SNL...
I have been a computer tech for around 30 years so I am in familiar territory... [bigsmile]
@MooreTel:
Thanks! I never even thought of that! Much simpler than my method! [bow] I can and will do that!
@CurlyCord:
I've been called a lot of things bit never an "it". That's a new one... [lol]
LOL OK, I'll explain the situation...
At the company I work for, one of the managers is retiring and trading offices with the person who is becoming manager (going to work part-time afterwards). To-be manager has a 7208 phone; current manager has a 7310 phone with programming and voice mail she...
Set relocation is off (Set relocation: N). Sorry, forgot to mention that.
@CurlyCord: What I mean is to reset all programmable buttons and personal speed dial to "blank", thereby erasing all personal programming that the user did on their set...
