E-metrotel is working on a solution to add NEC phones and support for their digital phones into their solution now. They have already done this with Nortel, and Panasonic, and Avaya phones. So something to keep an eye on, as this could be a valid upgrade path for a lot of existing NEC customers...
i would check with what snowman50 suggested. See if the IT company has the MAC of the old IPO tagged to that port. Another thing to see if you at least have outside access is go into system status and do a ping test to 8.8.8.8 and see if you receive a response.
Looks to be a DNS issue. It is failing to resolve FQDN (smtp.google.com). In Manager go to system>DNS and in the DNS server IP address put 8.8.8.8, and for the backup i usually place the customers DNS server if they have one.
Always fun when the network guy's get involved. Not many understand VoIP networking and love to point their fingers. First thing i would do is have them make sure that SIP ALG/SIP transformations is disabled on the firewall, as well as Deep packet inspection, or really anything on the...
I would recommend installing DSL phone line filters on the line. We have had issues with Verizon lines in the past (On a different phone system)this has corrected misc issues like phantom calls, static on the lines ETC...
another thing to try is going to System>Voicemail and checking the box next to Anonymous. This has caused me weird issues with transferring in the past with VMpro.
On the hunt group is Queuing enabled? With this on calls should only be presented to your users that are actually available to take the call. I would try this and see if it gives you the result you are looking for.
If you go to the original user having the issue and go to their SIP tab how is that programmed?Try placing their DID in the "SIP Name" and the "Contact" field. I have seen that this can cause inbound issues weird enough.
if you are going ATA route as ipohead mentioned, Grandstreams are cost effective and work nicely. You can get a Grandstream HT802 which has 2 FXS ports for $50-$55 range. But as mentioned you will need a 3rd party IP endpoint license for this since it will need to register as SIP. If you do have...
Do any of the extensions (Hunt group, or User extensions) conflict with any shortcodes on your system?
Do any of your users have something in their user shortcode tab, or have call forwarding, or twinning setup?
Thanks Alfordap Do you currently have anything configured in your Public unknown numbering table on the CM side? are you also able to share the configuration of your Trunk group, and signaling group?
@gknight1 do you have logs you can share from voicemail? I know this sounds like an odd question but this is Avaya after all.. Do you have voicemail to email setup, or backing up voicemail to a secondary server via SMTP?
@AvayaRed you could. I do have an IPO registered to ACO as we speak, though it is not supported yet. You would create a SIP trunk that registers to a user on ACO. Then route the 9608's traffic to go out the ACO SIP trunk. And for ACO calls coming into IPO you would just create an incoming call...
Hi BernPed, i would make sure that the date and time is correct on the system, then go back to your certificate and where you get the option to "Set" "View" "Delete" select Delete then save and go back to configuration and try SSA again. Please note that you may lose connection to Manager for 5...
If it is coming from the same number every time then this should be easy to block.
If PRI
1: Go to Line
2: Select PRI
3: Check to see if there is anything in the Prefix field. If so remember the number. We will need this later. You might see 9, or 91 those are most common (usually goes with...
